Give Your Teeth A Treat With The Invisalign Treatment

A first visit to the orthodontist often gives a dreadful impression when we picture our mouth full of wires. When we think of braces, we find ourselves worried about how painful it’ll get and how difficult it’ll be whenever it’s time for eating. Luckily, with the advancement of technology and development of dentistry equipment, getting a straightened set of teeth does not necessarily need to involve metal brackets when you opt for the Invisalign treatment.

If you have crooked teeth and/or a protruding front tooth, the Invisalign Center in Dubai can straighten these to improve your smile without the sight of metal brackets.

How does the Invisalign treatment work?

The first step is going through an assessment with your Invisalign provider. After this dental examination, developing impressions will closely follow. The dental impressions will be done through intraoral scan to get highly accurate images that will show the outcome of the treatment.

When the 3D computer models based on the specific treatment plan are ready, you’ll be allowed to see the movement plans for your teeth, from its current state up until to achieving the final desired result. You’re able to see this in real-time. The aligners are custom made as it’s modeled after your teeth. Each aligner moves your teeth through small incremental movements and the next aligner takes over the next movement, etc.

The Invisalign system will provide the set of aligners every week or every two weeks. What you’ll have to do is to simply place the aligners over your teeth where they should fit perfectly. The process is mostly pain-free and comfortable.

In every one-two weeks, you’ll switch to another set of aligners. Slowly but surely, these aligners move your teeth. For best results, you are advised to wear the aligners for at least for 20-22 hours every day.

After the final aligner, it’ll be time for retainers. The Invisalign retainers are clear plastic, and in most cases should be worn for up to 2 months to help the teeth hold firmly in their places.
